Gary Wood

Director

Gary Wood is a co-founder and director of Burnham Global. He spent the previous two decades with Risk Advisory Group. He set up its security practice in 2001 and went on to open offices in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan. In 2007, he set up Risk Advisory’s office in Dubai overseeing all security operations, and in 2018 he established a Government Services practice focusing on international government clients.

Prior to joining Risk Advisory Gary served in the British Army for 18 years, six of which being in UK Special Forces. He left the army as a Warrant Officer. During his military career he served in several operational theatres, including Northern Ireland, Lebanon, Uganda, DRC, and Sierra Leone.
